CDF Prayer for Awareness and for Communities

Sovereign God, the God of all Wisdom. In you, there is no darkness at all. You are the light of the world and nothing is hidden from Your sight. We come to You and expose our own hearts to You, that Your light will penetrate our hearts and drive out every darkness. Drive out the darkness that causes us to look the other way and to be silent when we know of children in our communities who have been exploited and trafficked. Forgive us. We repent of our indifference and seeking our own safety not caring for the vulnerability of those around us. We repent of blaming the helpless for their condition of helplessness instead of seeking to bring knowledge and awareness. We repent of not wanting to become involved because it would be inconvenient or costly for us to do so. Forgive us. God of Peace, stir us in our communities to be on the lookout for the vulnerable, give us the wisdom to say the right word at the right time to the right person, and to help those in need in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen.
