Counselling

Counselling can provide persons experiencing trauma with tools to navigate their trauma responses, address self-defeating habits, relief mental health consequences of trauma and develop coping and recovery skills. Unhealed trauma causes anxiety, irritability, depression and has negative impacts on personal development and interpersonal relationships.

CDF’s counselling department is led by our Counselling Director, Mr. Tom Sharp, having more than 17 years of professional therapeutic interventions, training and development of therapeutic tools for survivors, caregivers and stakeholders working with survivors.

We provide short-term and long-term counselling therapy by appointment only and our counselling services are free to the public.
